"Bellydance" is a Western term for a traditional Middle Eastern dance form. Some American devotees refer to it simply as "Middle Eastern Dance".
Most of the basic steps and techniques used in belly dance are circular motions isolated in one part of the body; for example, a circle parallel to the floor isolated in the hips or shoulders.

"Bhangra" is a lively form of music and dance that originated in the Punjab region.
Originating in the Punjab region, Bhangra began as a folk dance conducted by farmers for expression of celebration.
